Meet Your Guide And Handler *
Hi, I’m Jen — Having grown up in Truckee and spending more than 25 years in the Reno/Sparks/Verdi area, I’ve had the privilege of many years exploring the trails, mountains, and open spaces that make this region so special.
I’ve been an avid trail runner for over two decades, and my love of movement, nature, and the outdoors has shaped who I am. Dogs Not Dudes is my way of bringing that passion to your dog — creating enrichment excursions that blend physical activity, mental stimulation, and the joy of being outside.
This business has been a dream of mine for years, and I’m excited to finally bring it to life. And yes… the name Dogs Not Dudes has a story or two behind it. Don’t get offended — I’m rolling with it. At this stage in my life, I refuse to water myself down. I’ve discovered that growth, my vision, and meaningful work are of utmost imprtance to me and besides, I always preferred the honesty, loyalty, and joy of dogs. Dogs Not Dudes is the result — a service rooted in independence, intention, and a deep love for the canine spirit.
What matters most is this: your dog is in good hands. They’re with someone who prioritizes her vision, her integrity, and her reputation — and who pours that same intention into every dog she works with.
My hope is to inspire others to live a healthy, active lifestyle and to have the courage to follow their own dreams, just as I’m following mine.
